ASBA Innaugural Booth at ABA 2013

Dear ASBA Member:
This year the Arkansas Small Band Association will have a booth at the Arkansas Bandmasters Convention. Please come by and see our new ASBA banner, get some freebies, and enter drawings. The ASBA officers will need some help manning the booth. If everyone helps, no one person will have to spend an inordinate amount of time there, leaving him/her free to visit other exhibits and clinics.
What will you do if you work the exhibit? Distribute information about the All-Star try-outs and clinic. Hand out free books by Trey Reely. (You can keep one for yourself.) Take up names for a drawing for a composition by Randall Standridge and books from The Instrumentalist.
Exhibit times are:
Thursday: 1:00 to 4:30 pm
Friday: 9:00-11:50 am and 1:30-4:30 pm
We will have a meeting Wednesday, July 31 at 6:00 pm in RCC 102-103. We will be discussing the following items:
- Our clinician options for 2013-14 and 2014-15.
- Establishing a new scholarship to be given by ASBA.
- Deadline date for membership registration fee.
- Revisions to the constitution.
By the way, ASBA is helping to sponsor the New Directors Mixer held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday. I’m hoping that many of them will come to our 6:00 meeting. Invite any directors you think would be interested. They do not have to be members at this time.
